AP Chemistry

We are offering our summer prep class for AP Chemistry again! It will be taught by our lead tutor Alan who is a credential teacher with 12 years of teaching experience in AP, Honors & General Chemistry.

Topics we'll cover:
-Naming compounds, stoichiometry, limiting reactants, empirical & molecular formulas
-Mass spectroscopy, photoelectron spectroscopy, periodic trends
-Simple & advanced lewis structures, VSEPR, hybridization
-Intermolecular forces, gas laws, chromatography
-Kinetics, rate laws, mechanisms
-Specific/latent heat, bond enthalpy, Hess' law
-Equilibrium, Le Chatelier's Principle, K vs Q
-Titrations, H+/OH- concentration, pH table
-Common labs, tips for answering AP problems, test tips from AP graders

Details: 
-10 classes in two weeks
-1 hour classes, 10 total hours via Zoom
-lecture, working through practice problems & extra practice problems
-class size will be capped at 10 students
